The Art of Steam Distillation
Steam distillation is a process of separating volatile organic molecules from non-volatile compounds (essential oils) by using their inability to mix with water. The mixture is heated, causing both water and volatile organic molecules to evaporate. Then, the molecules are condensed and collected, leaving the impurities behind and resulting in the purest, unaltered oil.
