Harvesting & Processing

The start of processing is selection: mature trees are chosen from among a physically remote selection of trees and even then, only small portions of the tree are harvested, in order to minimize the environmental impact of their loss.

Once the cuttings have been procured, they’re taken back to the processing facility where they are then subjected to the steam distillation process. The steam breaks down the oil glands to release the aromatic liquid and then the steam and oil are collected, given time to condense, and then separated. What you’re left with is pure Black Spruce Essential Oil.
